American Idol, Alexis Grace Sent Home

Published by ldonovan at 4:40 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Did America Get it Right?

After the outstanding performance of Carrie Underwood and Randy Travis of “I Told You So,” it was time to focus back on Michael Sarver and Alexis Grace as the bottom two were nervously awaiting their fate. I think it’s terrible to have the last two waiting while we are entertained by

As Michael was announced as safe, it was surprisingly Alexis who was going to be sent home. However, she could be saved if the judges decided to use their one save, a new rule this season. She had to wow them with a performance. As Alexis sang for her life, and I thought she sang “Jolene” much better last night than on Tuesday night, the judges deliberated.

It was heartbreaking and almost unfair that they unanimously decided not to save her, of course Simon has to add that she could have been saved. I felt this was unfair since Alexis was one of the stronger females in the group, behind Lil Rounds. She could have been given another chance to show America what she is all about, not be judged on Country week, where in my opinion, no one really performs that well.

So now the top 10 are in place. This is the group that will tour during the summer: Michael Sarver, Anoop Desai, Danny Gokey, Allison Iraheta, Matt Giraud, Megan Joy, Scott McIntyre, Adam Lambert, Kris Allen and Lil Rounds.
